I love my home. It's a pretty cool place to be. We live in a nice big ranch-style house in the Panhandle of Texas. We have ten acres, and plenty of room to run and play. Our dogs have plenty of room to stretch their legs.

Surprisingly, we have some wildlife on the property, including skunks, cottontail rabbits, hares, toads, tortoises, snakes, salamanders, road runners, horned toads, and an occasional porcupine. Daddy is always pointing them out to me so that I will know what to fear and what to leave alone.

Mommy and Daddy are both very busy people. Even though Mommy is no longer teaching, she is busy running me to my engagements, as well as taking care of the house and helping Dad with the outdoor work and landscaping. Daddy teaches at the university, but also runs a bike touring business from the house. He works on the computer many hours each day, so I get to see him quite a lot. He takes breaks and plays with me, or gets me set up on the Internet on one of his computers.

In spite of the many long days they put in, they always seem to have plenty of time for me. We go out to eat a lot, go shopping, and go to various forms of entertainment. I also love going to Barnes and Noble with them. I think it makes Daddy real proud knowing that his daughter likes to hang out in a bookstore.

Living in the country has its advantages. We can spread out, play the outdoor stereo, put up buildings, and do whatever we please without fear of zoning restrictions or what the neighbors think. I think that Mommy and Daddy will never live in the city again, which suits me fine.
